1. Clark Creek Natural Area - Woodville
The Clark Creek Natural Area has been dubbed one of the Magnolia State's most beautiful outdoor treasures – and it definitely doesn’t disappoint, especially when it comes to waterfalls. There are roughly 50 waterfalls scattered throughout the 700-acre nature area. What’s more, the falls range in size from 10’ to more than 30’ in height. Several waterfalls can be found along the park’s improved trail, which at 1.78 miles, is suitable for hikers of all ages and skill levels.
Note: Some of the waterfalls are seasonal and depend on rainfall. However, there are several waterfalls that can be found throughout the year.
2. Dunn’s Falls Park - Enterprise
Located within a scenic park, this easy-to-access waterfall was created in the 1850s and once used to power the factory of famed hat maker J.B. Stetson. At 65’ in height, it’s by far the state’s tallest waterfall, making it a must-visit on any waterfall-inspired journey. Though impressive, this waterfall isn’t all the park has going for it. The grounds also include a historic grist mill, which you can tour, a picnic area, and barbecue grills.
3. Rawson Gully Falls - Meridian
Though located just off the road in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, most people don’t know about Rawson Gully Falls. A fact that’s even more surprising is when you learn that it’s one of the state’s tallest waterfalls. 4. Cooper Falls - Iuka
Your waterfall adventure wouldn’t be complete without a stop at J.P. Coleman State Park, which is where you’ll find a river, Pickwick Lake, and Cooper Falls. This 50’ waterfall can best be viewed from the lake, but it's still visible from the shoreline as well.
