The park promises plenty to do, but the masterpiece is undoubtedly the 65-foot Dunn's Falls, which you can view from above and from the base.

Just follow the .04-mile trail that leads to the base of the falls. Dunn's Falls, in fact, once powered the grist mill that you'll also pass.

Once you reach the base, you can also set off on several nature trails. You might even see local wildlife, such as deer and turkeys.

A man-made waterfall that dates back to the mid-19th century, Dunn's Falls tumbles into the Chunky River.

While the park and the waterfall are popular all year around, you'll definitely want to visit during the warmer months, too, for a bit of swimming and fishing.

There is a small entrance fee to Dunn's Falls Park that varies by age and there is also a fee if you want to fish on the river. The park is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so be sure to plan your trip accordingly.
