1. Boomer’s Drive-In

Start your road trip off with a stop by this Horn Lake favorite, where you’ll find "old fashioned burgers and shakes at old fashioned prices." In business since the 80s, the drive-in has had plenty of time to perfect their milkshakes, which come in a variety of tasty flavors, like pineapple, Nutella, caramel, and more. Boomer’s is located at 1575 Nail Rd. W, Horn Lake, MS 38637.

2. Spencer’s Dairy Kream

Between the retro vibe and extensive menu of desserts, a visit to Spencer’s is sure to be a memorable (and tasty) one! In addition to a variety of shake options, there’s also ice cream, sundaes, and malts to satisfy your sweet tooth. Spencer’s is located at 279 Sunset Dr., Grenada, MS 38901.

3. Fine and Dandy

Editor's note: Unfortunately, Fine and Dandy is no longer open. For your third stop, it’s Jackson’s "classy burger joint." Though the eatery’s main focus is snack-sized portions that are perfect for "munching and noshing," the milkshakes are definitely not lacking. In addition to shakes loaded with tasty toppings, the menu also features "adult shakes," which, as you probably guessed, include alcohol for an extra special treat. Fine and Dandy is located at 100 District Blvd., Jackson, MS 39211.

4. Donna’s #6 Produce

Donna’s #6 Produce is a small town shop that delivers in a BIG way! Stop by the roadside store and cool off with a delicious shake, which is made using homemade ice cream. There’s also homemade fudge to satisfy your sweet tooth. Plan on spending some time here; the massive store carries a variety of merchandise – from fresh produce to unique gifts. Donna’s is located at 3875 Highway 49 S, Florence, MS 39073.

5. Quakes Creamery

Finish off your road trip with a visit to this quirky coastal creamery. Sure to satisfy your sweet tooth, the thick, tasty shakes come in an assortment of flavors and with a variety of toppings. From standard flavors to custom creations, the options are virtually endless. Quakes is located at 1922 Bienville Blvd, Ocean Springs, MS 39564.
