1. Schneider's Sweet Shop in Bellevue
This family-owned sweet shop has been a tradition in Bellevue and Northern Kentucky since 1939. The shop still has the same nostalgic feel and the candies are made with the same family recipes. Their homemade chocolates are a favorite but also try their ice balls. This sweet little Kentucky chocolate shop is the perfect place to pick up treats for yourself, friends, and family. Schneider's Sweet Shop: Homemade Candies & Ice Cream is located at 420 Fairfield Ave., Bellevue, KY 41073.
2. Muth's Candies
Muth's Candies is a Louisville shop that has been going strong for four generations so it's quite a legendary candy shop. The family has perfected the Bourbon Ball, among other Kentucky favorites like the Louisville modjeskas, which are marshmallows dipped in caramel (believe me, you'll want to buy some to take with you). A stop at this sweet shop is a must-visit when you're in the area. Muth's Candies is located at 630 E Market St., Louisville, KY 40202.
