This West Virginia Airbnb Is Peak Fall Vibes

This modern mountain retreat has it all: stunning mountain views, a screened-in patio, hot tub, and a cozy yet stylish aesthetic. All you need is your flannel!

Fall and West Virginia go hand-in-hand. The leaves that transform into vibrant hues of gold, red, and yellow, the small-town farms doling out apple cider donuts, the pumpkin festivities, and, to top it all off, the delightful seasonal weather where the temperatures finally start to cool—we've got it all here in the Mountain State. Whether you're a West Virginian or an out-of-towner looking to enjoy the best of autumn, I've found a delightful Airbnb that is tailor-made for a fall adventure.

West Virginia doesn't want unique places to stay—from luxe hotels to side-of-the-road inns, there's plenty of hospitality to go around. Even still, there are a handful of places I've come across that seem to elevate that standard even higher. Mountain Pine Retreat is a case in point. It has everything I love about a quintessential cabin in the woods, paired with a completely renovated, modern interior with a few surprises. Let's take a quick tour, shall we?

Imagine the gravel driveway crunching under your car as you pull up to one of the most welcoming sights in the world—a cabin in the woods overlooking the mountains. Mountain Pine Retreat is a vacation cabin in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, that can accommodate up to six guests with three bedrooms, four beds, and two baths.

It may look like a classic mountain cabin on the outside, but the inside is clean, contemporary, and cozy. Architectural details like exposed brick, large windows, and mid-century modern furniture give it a warm and homey feel. Outfitted with a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious living room, and three thoughtfully-designed bedrooms, this space is perfect for unwinding. But that's just the start; uniquely curated spaces like the Zen Den (a nook complete with yoga mats) and the screened-in patio room take this place to the next level.

In my opinion, screened-in rooms are perfect for fall; you get all the atmosphere of the fresh air and fall foliage without worrying about any bugs—which, as we know here in West Virginia, can linger even late into the season.

At night, gather 'round the firepit as you watch the stars transform the sky above, or soak in the hot tub and rest your muscles after a day of mountain adventures (note that Cacapon State Park is just a quick drive away!) A few other things to note about this property: guests will enjoy keyless access, ramp access into the home for enhanced accessibility, parking to accommodate up to four vehicles, and a level 2 EV charger.

Lastly, I'll leave you with this glowing review from a recent guest: "This was by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at truly because the hosts care so much. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a serene getaway."
