It's somehow quaint and elegant, and best of all, it's nestled within the Fort Totten Historic Site, so once you venture out, you'll never get bored. Curl up with a good book in the reading room, eat breakfast in the dining room, and fall madly in love with North Dakota's history.

2. Lone Butte Ranch at Juniper Lodge - Grassy Butte

Escape to this rustic, romantic cabin Airbnb in North Dakota worthy of a whole winter's stay. It's not terribly old, having been built in 1998, and it's located on a working cattle ranch. This cabin is ideal for couples fascinated by agriculture or perhaps folks interested in the charming nature of farm stays. One of the bedrooms (pictured above) has a bookshelf door. The porch outside is perfect for couples to cuddle up next to one another under the stars. This one is unforgettable!
