The Cannonball River is found meandering through the hills near the Badlands and features seemingly endless prairie views (as well as some wondrous river sights, too).

Mott is the epitome of a beautiful little town, with shops and grocery stores that close by 6 p.m. and a real sense of community you don't find every day.

The overall interior vibe of the place is eclectic but classic.

It feels like something in between your nana's house and your cool aunt's house, and there's a real sense of comfort that comes with it. I'm not even entirely sure what it is... but it is.

The real star of the show, though, is the wonderful patio with some truly breathtaking views.

This region of North Dakota is easily one of my favorites thanks to its blend of Badlands with prairie; it's special and unique, and I absolutely love that there's a wonderful place to stay right in the heart of it all.

Of course, you have plenty of access to the Cannonball River, and the whole world seems to be at your front door.

It's probably one of the most exquisite river views in the state - and it's so underrated!

By the time night falls, you'll find the patio to be cozy and inviting.

Lounge on the porch and darkness blanket the prairie, knowing full well that sunset tomorrow morning will be spectacular.

This cottage is wonderful for small groups or solo travelers, offering a fully-stocked kitchen with everything you'll need to cook a home-made meal.
