We can think of at least one, and it's spectacular. Enter Hemlock Hideaway, a cabin in Danville, New York. It might just be the best rustic getaway with a waterfall in New York. The cabin at Hemlock Hideaway was created in 1937 but then remodeled in 2020. It’s 900 square feet of pure tranquility.

The cabin is located on a cliff and features amazing views of the waterfalls in Canaseraga Creek.

The cabin is great for couple, but for those looking to get a whole group in, it can fit up to six people comfortably. It’s about as remote as remote can get—all that surrounds the cabin are woods, wildlife and majestic streams of water.

The cabin has two bedrooms. One is a private bedroom with a queen size bed, and the other is situated in a loft and has a full size bed and a futon sofa. There is also a full kitchen with a refrigerator, stove and a microwave. If you are interested in watching television, this is not the place for you. There is no TV, but plenty of peace and quiet instead.

Speaking of peace and quiet, visitors can enjoy some of the many hiking trails close to the cabin. The most popular trail goes along the creek and has a nice look-out spot, where visitors can enjoy a view of the water.

There are two waterfalls running near the property. The Upper Falls features a 13 foot drop, while the Lower Falls is smaller, and can be seen from the cabin.
