The Beekman Arms Inn located in the historic village of Rhinebeck is a place that many of our residents have grown up visiting.

The inn has 23 rooms, all of which were completely renovated back in 1995.

Built in 1766, Beekman Arms Inn is part of the historic village of Rhinebeck which has been recognized by the National Register Of Historic Places.

During the 18th century Beekman Arms was called the Bogardus Tavern, a place that would have a historic role in the American Revolution.

For those of us who aren't history buffs or grew up in the Hudson Valley area, you may be surprised to learn what historic figures came to pass through this tavern. George Washington, Alexander Hamilton and Benedict Arnold all came to Bogardus', which fell right on the main road that ran through the Hudson Valley region during this era.

Besides the Beekman Arms being an historic location in the area, there's also plenty of other historic sites nearby that you can visit while you're staying at the inn.

All within a short distance of the inn, those who come to stay here and wish to explore the area can check out the beautiful Vanderbilt Mansion is roughly a 20-minute drive to Hyde Park. There's also historic Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt just south of the inn that's also in the town of Hyde Park. The fascinating history of this inn continues on with stories of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The former president quite frequently visited Beekman Arms and even played a major role in part of the village's development. Being an avid stamp collector, President Franklin D. Roosevelt helped construct Rhinebeck's Post Office! You'll also find other plaques throughout the tavern and colonial taproom that will even show you where Bill and Hillary Clinton have sat before.
