Bernie's Diner at the Northern Hotel in Billings offers a nostalgic dining experience with classic comfort food and vintage decor.
The Northern Hotel is a completely renovated historic gem in in the heart of Billings’ business district. Voted Billings' best hotel for the last six years, it offers comfort and luxury in an unpretentious setting. It also happens to have a 50s-style diner onsite, and both the food and the ambiance are wonderful.
The Northern Hotel is located at the corner of Broadway and First Avenue North.
This doesn't look like the place to find a kitschy diner, and that somehow makes Bernie's even more appealing.
Bernie's Diner is lighthearted and fun, filled with cheery vintage decor.
The restaurant was named after the owner's mother, Bernie Nelson, and you'll definitely be warmly welcomed here, like family.
The diner is open daily from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m., serving breakfast and lunch.
If you're staying at the Northern Hotel, you may want to plan on eating both meals here every day -- it's that fun.
The breakfast menu consists of both savory classics and sweet treats, like special pancakes and Cap'n Crunch French Toast.
These Nutella and banana pancakes are irresistible.
This is classic comfort food with a contemporary twist, and you'll love it.
The coffee is bottomless, and it's fantastic.
And just like any good diner, Bernie's serves mouthwatering milkshakes.
They are, of course, made from Wilcoxson's ice cream.
