This Snowy Iowa Cabin Is the Coziest Winter Escape

Iowa is an amazing place to rest and relax, and this gorgeous wintertime vacation rental is the perfect place to do so.

Adel is a small city in Iowa with a population of just over 6,400 as of 2020. It's charming and delightful, with plenty of things to do and see while you're here. While you're here, you might just need a place to stay, and I've found the perfect escape. If you love log cabins in Iowa, you'll love this place and will never want to leave (no judgment here - I feel the same way.)

Situated on a tract of beautiful land is this stunning vacation home where all your winter dreams can come true. It's a traditional log cabin -- quite roomy and deliciously rustic. The cabin manages to be elegant despite the old-country feel, and it's a favorite listing amongst those of us who live in Iowa and those who love to visit.

Wander the gorgeous garden and take in the beauty of a fresh layer of snow before retiring indoors to curl up next to the fireplace and read a nice book. If you're planning to bring work with you, there's a dedicated workspace, so you don't need to take up the whole bed with all your things, which is something I tend to do. The cabin sleeps up to 12 people in four bedrooms, so it's excellent for everything from family reunions to group trips, adventures, and more.

Meander into the kitchen and discover the perfect place to fix your favorite meals; from a nice, hearty breakfast in the morning to a comforting dinner at night. And it may not sound like much, but the cabin has the luxury of an in-unit washer and dryer - no need for laundromats on this vacation.

Once you decide you'd like to get out and explore Adel, Iowa, you're in for a treat: with wineries, incredible history, nearby natural wonders, and lots more, you'll never get bored. The Adel Historical Museum is somewhere I can get lost for hours and is not far from the cabin, and outdoors enthusiasts will love a stroll around Evans Park.

Once you've explored the town, return to this cabin where you can soak in the hot tub in the cold night air underneath a million stars. Grab some wine you got earlier and enjoy - this is the ultimate wintertime escape in Iowa!
