Sleep in a Gorgeous Barn and Greet Mini Farm Animals at This Idaho Airbnb
You'll leave this Airbnb feeling relaxed and refreshed, with new farm animal friends, and have a renewed love for Idaho's country views.
I never grew up on a farm, but I married a farmboy from northern Utah. Whenever we visit his family, we are also greeted by the horses, chickens, cats, and other animals who come up and say hello. There’s a type of peace that comes when on a farm—it’s a place where hard work is necessary, but the chaos of city life is non-existent. Located in Rigby is the Cozy Corral, an Airbnb located in a barn above a working farm. It’s a space where you’ll enjoy all of the comforts of modern life, but you’ll hear the animals as they talk to each other each day. Not to mention, you can enjoy true country views—the type of views that make you fall in love with Idaho.
Rigby is a small town in southeastern Idaho, just north of Idaho Falls. It’s full of history, charm, and gorgeous landscapes. You won’t find big-city scenes here, just farm and country views for miles. The Cozy Corral Airbnb fits right in this small town and is a delightful base camp or even just a place to escape reality's overwhelming stress.
This is an 864-square-foot apartment located in a gorgeous white barn. Inside, you’ll find a beautiful living area with farmhouse details all throughout. The apartment has one bedroom and one bathroom, easily accommodating up to four guests. And as you walk around, you’ll find it hard to believe you are actually in a barn above a working farm. With such cozy amenities and stylish design, you’ll feel like you are in a luxury apartment. Make note that the apartment is in the upper area of the barn, and stairs are required to access the rental.
During your stay, sit back and watch a show in the living area or prepare your meals in the full kitchen, which is complete with a stove, refrigerator, oven, microwave, and more. The bedroom is large enough to fit two queen-size beds and two large closets. There’s even a dedicated workspace inside this rental if you need to connect with reality for a few hours or you want to unleash your creative side and write, draw, etc.
The inside of this barn Airbnb in Rigby, Idaho, is certainly dreamy, but so is the outdoor space. Here, you’ll find a 7.5-acre hobby farm, home to multiple miniature animals. You can say hello to the miniature donkeys, miniature highland cows, Nigerian dwarf goats, and chickens.
You are free to walk around the farm, staying outside the main portion of the barn or the animal paddocks without an owner, of course. As you walk, you may spot birds of all sizes in the nearby cottonwood trees or along the historic Harrison Canal that runs south of the farm. You may even hear machinery humming in the distance as this hobby farm sits next to a potato processing facility (it’s a true Idaho experience).
It's easy to spend a lot of time on this farm, but make sure you also get out and explore. This area is an outdoor lover’s dream as you are just a short drive from Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Heise Hot Springs, and more. If you have time, I recommend driving along the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway and admiring the breathtaking Mesa Falls. I also love venturing toward Grand Targhee Ski Resort and enjoying Teton Mountain views from the Idaho side—this is my favorite mountain range after all.
There’s something special about spending time in the country, and this farmstay in Rigby, Idaho, gives you a little taste—just without all the hard work. Relax in the cozy amenities, enjoy the miniature animals, and explore one of the most beautiful regions in the U.S. You’ll never want to return to reality.
