Experience Fall Magic at This Remote Idaho Airbnb With Elk and Leaf-Peeping Hikes
You'll want to spend all of your time outdoors at this Airbnb. Just don't forget your hiking boots or a camera!
Winter is a hard time of year for me. While I love the beauty of freshly fallen snow, the cold temperatures, longer days, and lack of sunshine are challenging. I typically take a vacation in the middle of the winter months to help me combat the winter blues, but I also love to take a short getaway in the late summer or early fall to help me prepare for the months ahead. There are several places in Idaho that make for the perfect destination this time of year, and I recently found a new favorite—a beautiful cabin Airbnb in Garden Valley. However, this isn’t your typical vacation rental. This cabin is spacious, provides gorgeous outdoor views, and sits right next to a hiking trailhead and elk reserve. It’s a relaxing escape—a place where it’s easy to spend time outdoors before the winter weather keeps you inside.
Location is everything at this Airbnb just outside of the tiny town of Crouch. It is just a short drive to the Payette River and a beach where you can enjoy sunshine and time on the water. Plus, you can walk to the Brush Creek Trailhead to fully immerse yourself in nature and escape any crowds.
And due to this vacation rental’s incredible location, you’ll find that it is the perfect place to spend the last few days of warm weather. The views surrounding this cabin are breathtaking, and it isn’t uncommon to see elk right outside the window. The property sits on a bluff surrounded by trees and you’ll find that you may want to spend all of your time outdoors on the deck, a swing, or just sitting on the grass, enjoying the scenery.
And if you time your visit just right, you’ll even enjoy the vibrant fall foliage that surrounds the deck and covers the landscape. Bring a good book, download a podcast, or completely disconnect and enjoy good conversations with those you love during your stay.
And speaking of those you love … you can bring your entire family to this Garden Valley vacation rental. The cabin has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to eight guests. There are plenty of seating areas and spaces to spread out and relax indoors, and due to the open-concept design of the cabin, you’ll never feel cramped.
The kitchen provides all the essentials for preparing your favorite meals, and there is a dining area where you can sit and enjoy a family dinner before you head out to the deck to watch the sun set. If you want to spend even more time indoors, there are plenty of amenities and activities, from a 55-inch TV to a large selection of games and puzzles.
If you are looking for a getaway where you don’t even need to leave the property, this is an excellent option—it’s quiet, beautiful, and the ideal location to disconnect and escape reality for a while. It’s a nature lover’s oasis, ideal for those seeking peace and quiet. For more information, including availability and rates, visit its Airbnb listing.
