The One Idaho Airbnb You Need To Book for Dreamy Dark Sky Views
Every star seems close enough to touch when stargazing at this Airbnb in Idaho's Teton Valley.
The Teton Mountains are easily my favorite mountain range—they are majestic, bold, and powerful. While the view of this well-known mountain range from Wyoming is stunning, I love the view from the Teton Valley in Idaho. Here, there are no crowds, wide open spaces, and mesmerizing night skies. A night under the stars in the Teton Valley is a way to escape the noise of daily life, reflect, and pause for even a few moments. Located in the small town of Driggs is one dreamy base camp that’s not only perfect for unwinding and recovering after a day of adventures, but is ideal for stargazing. With Teton Mountain views and a huge deck, it’s a dreamy place to be under a blanket of stars.
The Sundown is a modern Airbnb in Driggs where you can enjoy some time away. Walk inside and you’ll find a gorgeous home comfortably designed for up to four guests. This two-story vacation rental features an upper-floor living space with a cozy living room and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare your meals.
There are two bedrooms in the home with plush mattresses where you can drift off to dreamland after a day of exploration. I particularly love the large windows in most of the rooms, which let in ample natural light and allow you to enjoy views of both the Teton Valley and the Teton Mountains without ever setting foot outside.
While indoors is certainly comfy, the Airbnb's outdoor space may be your favorite place to spend your time. On the second floor, you can sit on a large, elevated deck with plenty of seats. During the day, snuggle up in a chair and stare at the majesty of the Teton Mountains, grill a hamburger, or curl up in a blanket and enjoy the fresh air with your favorite warm beverage in hand.
And while the daytime views are exquisite, there’s nothing quite like the twinkle of the vibrant stars overhead at night. Stay up late, count the stars, and search for constellations through the telescope on the deck. As this vacation rental is far from large cities, you don’t have strong light pollution ruining your view, and you can gaze at the heavens for hours—it’s the perfect place for stillness, reflection, and admiration.
You may find that you stay up all night staring at the dark sky at this Idaho stargazing Airbnb, but I recommend you try to get a little sleep so you can wake up and explore. This vacation rental is only 20 minutes from Grand Targhee Resort, 50 minutes from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and one hour from Grand Teton National Park. If you are up for a longer drive, it is approximately 100 minutes to Yellowstone National Park.
The Teton Valley is known for its breathtaking views day and night. And when you book a stay at the Sundown rental in Driggs, you can experience pure beauty and magic no matter the time of day. Visit this vacation home’s Airbnb listing for availability and rates.
