I could make a long list of places in Idaho to consider for the perfect Hallmark movie scene, but one of my favorites is Elk Haven Retreat, a cozy cabin Airbnb in Island Park. Island Park is one of my favorite getaway destinations. One of southern Idaho’s most popular mountain towns, Island Park is known for its long main street, incredible fishing, and as a base camp to Yellowstone National Park. In the summer months, the streets, trails, and rivers are packed with visitors, and it’s not very quiet. But in the winter, things slow down, and the landscape is covered in snow. It becomes much easier this time of the year to find a little solitude in this Idaho town.

This Airbnb features three bedrooms and three bathrooms, comfortably sleeping up to 13 guests. Downstairs, you’ll find a cozy living room with a fireplace, where you can snuggle up with a good book or with that special someone (this cabin has Hallmark vibes, remember?). The kitchen is also fully stocked with everything you need to prepare your meals, so you don’t have to worry about bringing many extras with you.

You’ll easily fall asleep at night on the plush queen-size beds or in one of the single beds. When you wake up, grab your cup of coffee or hot chocolate and head outside to the deck, where you can spend a few minutes in the crisp air, admiring the mountain and forest views that surround you. I also recommend you spend some time soaking in the hot tub, forgetting all about the daily grind you left behind for a few days.

I also recommend you bring your snowshoes, cross-country skis, or fat bike to explore the winter trails at Harriman State Park.
