Northern Idaho is one of my favorite getaway destinations. Not only is the panhandle absolutely gorgeous, but there is so much to see and do. Just a short drive from Sandpoint and near Lake Pend Oreille is one charming place to stay where you can truly get away and escape reality. This camping cabin in northern Idaho is charming and quaint, sleeps up to six guests, and offers views of the Selkirk Mountains that are going to take your breath away. It’s a wonderful escape into nature and is easily one of the best cabin rentals in northern Idaho.

Six guests can comfortably sleep in the cabin. Inside, you will find one double-size bed, one queen-size bed, and two twin beds.

There is also a small kitchenette where you can prepare a cup of coffee in the morning and a small dinner in the evening.

There is no bathroom in the cabin but there is a hand-built outhouse that is unique and clean. During the warmer months of the year, there is also an outdoor shower and sink that is available.

There is also an outdoor hot tub where you can soak and enjoy the beauty of the area. However, this hot tub is shared and is not just for the camping cabin.

When you aren’t spending time at this cabin rental in Idaho, there is plenty to see and do. In approximately 20 minutes you can be to Sandpoint, where you can shop, explore, and spend time on the beach.

I recommend spending time at Lake Pend Oreille, which is only a 15-minute drive away.

Lake Pend Oreille is Idaho’s largest lake. It is 43 miles long and boasts an impressive 111 miles of shore. Swim, fish, boat, picnic — there are so many things to do and see here.

If you truly want to immerse yourself in nature during your visit, check out the Viewski Loop Trail. Located near Sandpoint, this easy trail is less than two miles and gives you remarkable lake views. Even in the winter, this trail is delightful for snowshoeing.
