This Colorado Airbnb Is Like Stepping onto the Set of a Wes Anderson Film

I've always dreamed of spending the night in a place that resembles the set of a Wes Anderson film. I think I found a Denver, Colorado Airbnb that closely fits the bill.

I've always loved Wes Anderson films, not just for the whimsical storylines but for the aesthetics of the set design. Colors, patterns, and nostalgic elements make their way into each scene and become as much a part of the story as the film's characters. I've always dreamed of spending the night in a place that closely resembles the set of a Wes Anderson film, and, after doing some research, I think I found a Denver, Colorado Airbnb that closely fits the bill.

A home with a fascinating mix of modern and historic elements, it's no wonder it's been featured in the Modern In Denver publication. This historic Victorian home, known as the Art Cube, is exquisite in every sense of the word. Built in 1889, it has undergone a full remodel that includes a large glass cube on the third floor (hence the home's name). I love the mix of old and new architecture — but wait til you see inside!

Let's start in the room that's painted in a purple hue. This is the library and sitting room, complete with shelves of books and an Eames chair (swoon!). The mid-century modern touches, the lighting, and the art make this room come together in the most spectacular way. I can picture myself reading a book or working in this room. And I think Wes Anderson would love a room like this on his next movie set.

With cool teal tones painted throughout the room, this room screams Wes Anderson to me. The pastel-colored walls are adorned with contemporary art pieces, and the room is filled with mid-century modern-style pieces like the low-back leather couch and the cabinet seen in the background. This is the main living room, its focal point a fireplace framed in original wood, and it's another space where I can sit for hours. This room opens up to the dining area.

The Art Cube has a total of five bedrooms and can accommodate up to 10 guests. The bedroom below looks like it belongs in one of Anderson's uniquely quirky movies, and I am here for it. From the patterned wallpaper to the contemporary pale orange rocker, I would have to claim this as my bedroom for the duration of my stay.

Head to the third floor, and you'll find the glass cube room off of the yoga space. The entire area is painted in light colors, and the floor-to-ceiling windows allow in natural light. As you can see, it's quite different from the rest of the home, which features colorful walls and patterned wallpaper, but that's part of its beauty and charm, don't you think?

Head to the backyard, and you can enjoy an evening around the fire pit or in the soaking tub. A backyard dining table will entice you to dine al fresco when the weather is warm. Can you think of a better place to stay in Denver? I'm not sure I can.

Are you as big a fan of Wes Anderson films as I am? If you'd like to stay in this Colorado Airbnb that closely resembles the set of a Wes Anderson film, book your stay on Airbnb.
