Back in the mid-1940s, the Spartan Company came out with a trailer called the Spartan. Just like any RV, this was one you could travel the country with on a great American road trip. At the time, the Spartan Company made aircraft but then began building trailers from the 1940s through the 1950s. If you've ever seen a Spartan Mansion Trailer, you may find it looks a bit like an airplane. Its retro appeal also makes it a wonderful Airbnb option. In fact, there is one Spartan Mansion Trailer near Sedona, Arizona that is used as a vacation rental, and I think you'll love staying here!
Located approximately 22 miles south of Sedona is Guardian Ridge Ranch, and it's here that you'll find FLO, a 1950 Spartan Mansion trailer. Staying in this trailer made of aluminum on the outside and bent birch wood on the inside, you're guaranteed a glamping experience unlike any you've had before.
FLO's exterior has a private covered patio with seating and a barbecue for you to use. You'll also have access to an above-ground saltwater pool if your visit is between May and October when the weather is at its hottest. Additionally, there's a solar-heated outdoor shower to use as well. Honestly, I feel that showering outdoors is somewhat of a luxury!
Head inside the trailer and it's like a portal to the 1950s. Between the colorful furniture, the retro patterns of the curtains and pillows, and the art, it's an absolute throwback to simpler times.
Additionally, with the curved birch wood interior, it has a cozy feel, especially when you turn in for the night. You should be able to sleep quite well in the bedroom's double bed!
Not only is FLO an incredibly fun and funky place to stay but with its location atop Guardian Ridge, just imagine the views you'll have as well. If you're like me and prefer glamping over camping, consider booking a few nights at this retro camping trailer that offers so much vintage appeal.
If you wish to go with the FLO and spend a few nights at the Spartan Mansion Trailer near Sedona, Arizona, head to the Airbnb listing and book your stay.
