12 Things Southern Californians Do That Seem Odd To Everyone Else
Southern Californians have unique habits that may seem strange to people from other states.
We're a pretty sane bunch here in SoCal, but there a few things that we do here that people from other states most likely find a little weird. Take a look and see if any of these things sound familiar. I'm totally guilty of number 12. How about you?
1. Planning our day around rush hour traffic.
2. Putting avocados on EVERYTHING.
From avocado on our toast to avocado on our eggs and even avocado in our pudding -- we just can't get enough of this delicious food!
3. Buying annual passes to Disneyland...
Or at least making friends with people who do!
4. Riding a bike at the beach in our nice clothes.
It's amazing how a little jewelry can dress up a bike ride.
5. Telling people how long it will take to get somewhere in time and not miles.
6. Heading to the beach on Christmas day...
All decked out in our holiday gear...and sunscreen.
7. Bundling up in a coat, hat, and maybe even a scarf when the temps drop below 70.
We know, we know...we've been spoiled by nice weather.
8. Owning a pair of flip flops to match every outfit.
9. Leaving the sunny parts of SoCal and traveling to other places just to find snow.
10. Choosing to stay home when it rains.
Because let's be honest...none of us in SoCal like driving in the rain.
11. Leaving an hour before we need to be somewhere...even if that place is only 15 minutes away.
Because you never know what conditions you'll encounter on the road.
12. Getting up before sunrise to meet friends for an epic morning hike.
I wouldn't exactly call that insane. I like to think of it as a perfect SoCal day.
Do any of these sound familiar to you? There are also lots of other activities that you'll never catch anyone in Southern California doing -- such as these 10 things.
