1. The Cobb Estate
An abandoned mansion along a SoCal hiking trail? That sure sounds like an adventure that could dial up the fun this fall season. Located in the Santa Monica Mountains along the Solstice Canyon Trail, you'll find what remains of an old 1930s mansion - The Cobb Estate - that was destroyed in a forest long ago. The trail to reach the Cobb Estate is just over three miles, so it's the perfect distance to stretch your legs.
2. The Cauldron
You'll need to fuel up on this day trip, including food and drink and not just gasoline. So how about a stop at The Cauldron, one of SoCal's spookiest restaurants? With both inside and outside seating in a festive setting that's perfect for a chilly fall day or night, this local gem is a great spot to add to your trip.
3. Evergreen Cemetery
Let's face it, a visit to a cemetery is always a little spooky no matter what time of year you visit. But there's something even spookier about heading out during the fall season, especially as we get closer to Halloween. Evergreen Cemetery isn't necessarily the most haunted cemetery in all of SoCal, but it's one of the oldest and largest, so driving through or walking through the property will definitely give you the chills.
4. Nights of the Jack
A spooky road trip during the fall season in SoCal isn't complete without making a stop at Nights of the Jack, a haunted drive-through Halloween adventure. Take the whole family and enjoy the festivities along this one-mile drive that captures the best of the season.
