This Small Town South Carolina Pub Has Some Of The Best Food In The State
It’s refreshing when you discover a small town establishment that breaks all the prevailing stereotypes about tiny towns and that is exactly the case with this South Carolina pub that brings some big flavors to the small town of Ridgeway (population, approximately 300 people).
Nestled inside the original Town Hall for the Town of Ridgeway is a sleek pub with all the feels of the big city, including a menu comparable to other big foodie towns in the state, like Charleston and Greenville.
It's called Olde Town Hall, named for the circa 1901 building it occupies right on Ridgeway's charming Main Street, and adjacent to the tiniest police station in the state (now more of a visitor's center/booth).
From inside the Olde Town Hall, you'll have a front row seat for Small Town America as you dine on the big city flavors that include traditional Southern favorites.
And the food is delicious. From the tried and true Southern staple of shrimp and grits to a heaping helping of fried green tomatoes on grits with onion gravy, the entrees are as polished as the modern interior and the staff that tends to your every desire.
The servings are so large, you may want to just ask for a to-go container with your order - just so you'll be able to save room for their gorgeous desserts!
Olde Town Hall is located less than five minutes from Interstate 77's exit 34. Are you ready for big city tastes without the big city price tag? Head to OTH in Ridgeway!
Olde Town Hall Restaurant and Pub is located at 140 S Palmer St., Ridgeway, SC 29130. (As a point of reference, that’s as mere 25 miles north of Columbia, 45 miles south of Rock Hill and 90 miles southeast of Greenville.) It’s open five days a week: Tuesday – Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday/Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, and closed Sunday/Monday. Learn more on their official website.
