The Hidden Restaurant In South Carolina That’s Surrounded By The Most Breathtaking Fall Colors
Fall is nearly gone, but it’s not too late for a last rendezvous with those bodacious colors we all long to see at the end of every summer. Even if some of those leaves have fallen, the rusty colors of fall foliage linger on, in the trees and on the ground. What better combination than a quick trip to the mountains to see long range views – with an amazing little lunch stop to add to the memories?
The Mountain House Restaurant at Caesar's Head is a fantastic little eatery a few hundred yards from the famously photographed Caesar's Head State Park overlook.
Enjoy the colors of the remaining fall foliage as you wind your way up the mountain for the two big payoffs: lunch and unparallelled views of the fall colors in South Carolina.
Or choose a lighter fare and stick with one of their beautiful salads. Of course, you could just skip lunch altogether and enjoy some homemade fudge or a scoop of ice cream.
Mountain House at Caesar’s Head is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. They’re located at 8101 Geer Hwy., Cleveland, SC 29635.
