This Roadside Attraction In South Carolina Is The Most Unique Thing You’ve Ever Seen
When it comes to “roadside attractions” in South Carolina, your mind may automatically go to the 11 weird attractions we published here, or to the giant turkeys that decorate the the streets in downtown Edgefield — or even to the iconic South of The Border on I-95. However, none of those compare to the symbolic roadside attraction that sits practically at the foot of Table Rock State Park.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
It's possible you've actually passed this place simply because Table Rock is so majestic you were paying more attention to the rock.
Visitors and locals alike come back again and again for a bite of Aunt Sue's famous fare including the famous fried chicken, salads, sandwiches and more.
After you finish stuffing your face (it's okay, no one at Aunt Sue's will judge) plan to spend some time exploring the rest of this little shopping experience.
Yum. For some reason the ice cream just tastes BETTER at Aunt Sue's -- especially in the summer. Head back outside to "sit a spell" on the rockers while you devour your cone -- there's more shopping ahead.
While you're at Aunt Sue's make sure you have your camera or smartphone on the ready because you never know what you'll see in the mountains in the upstate.
Have you visited Aunt Sue's Country Corner? We'd love to hear about it in our comments.
Aunt Sue’s is located at 107 Country Creek Drive, Pickens, SC 29671. Find out more, including their hours which change by the season, here on their fabulous website.
