Take A Sunday Drive, Stop For Ice Cream, And Play With Animals At Baily’s Dairy In Pennsylvania
Sundays were just meant for a leisurely drive. Sometimes we just go with the flow and follow the road wherever it leads. We might end up at a roadside farmer’s stand, at a hidden gem mom-and-pop restaurant, or at Baily’s Dairy in Pennsylvania. It’s the perfect Sunday – or any day – stop for a delicious ice cream treat and a visit with some of the resident farm animals.
Roll down the windows as the sunshine streams in on your leisurely Sunday (or any day) drive to Baily’s Dairy of Pocopson Meadow Farm in West Chester.
A neighborhood staple since 1874, the sprawling dairy farm is the lone remaining farm of its kind in Chester County’s Pocopson County.
Long-time visitors to the farm’s market rave about the family-owned farm, pointing out that it offers a little bit of everything – friendly faces, adorable animals, and some of the best ice cream in the area.
You’ll probably want to bring your camera along on your visit, to snap photos of the adorable animals – goats, cows, and chickens, to name a few. Chances are you’re going to make a whole bunch of new feathered and furry (especially the goats) friends.
On the weekends in the summertime, Baily’s Dairy typically hosts an ice cream truck, where you can get a delicious ice cream treat. If you like cantaloupe, try the cantaloupe bowl. (It’s just what it sounds like, ice cream in a “bowl” made of cantaloupe.
A visit to the farm any time of the year means a stop in the market. Stock up on the freshest locally-grown fruits and vegetables, and don’t forget milk and ice cream.
