4 Places in Pennsylvania Serving the Drink Everyone’s Ordering This Summer

There is nothing better than spending a leisurely summer evening sipping frozen cocktails in the company of good friends. And it seems as if every time I pick up a restaurant drink menu, there is something new to try. The art of mixology is an ever-growing industry that is turning out elaborate, new creations each season. Fortunately, this summer’s trendy frozen treat blends two of my favorite things, refreshing margaritas and delicious soft-serve ice cream, into an unforgettable liquor-infused delight called the soft-serve margarita. If you haven’t sampled this refreshing concoction yet, I highly recommend doing so before the hot nights turn into distant memories. And if you are wondering where to find soft-serve margaritas in Pennsylvania, just stop by one of these four local establishments. 

1. Tipsy Scoop - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Tipsy Scoop opened its flagship “barlour” in New York City in 2017, and now this hip alcohol-infused ice cream spot has several locations across the country, including one in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square. Their fruity soft-serve margaritas, which are available in two sizes (large for me, please), are as pretty as they taste. The drinks are made with tequila and are served with gummy citrus wedges and colorful edible flowers. The flavors change daily, so be sure to return to try them all. And when you are done sampling all the soft-serve margaritas, there is so much more to try, including boozy sundaes, ice-cream sandwiches, and water ice. 2. The Ridley House - Holmes, Pennsylvania

When you visit the Ridley House in Holmes, you will feel like you are dining in someone’s home. The parlor-style restaurant features classic American fare, craft beer selections, and, most recently, soft-serve margaritas. These boozy refreshments are pre-made in Ridley's soft-serve ice cream machine and then served as a dessert in a cone or a cup. The margaritas come in mango, cherry, or a swirl of both flavors.

3. The Rabbit Hole - Conshohocken, Pennsylvania

The Rabbit Hole in Conshohocken is an upscale bar and eatery featuring a menu of cocktails inspired by the Alice in Wonderland story. Along with drinks such as Off With Their Heads and the Mad Queen’s Elixir, the restaurant is currently serving seasonal soft-serve margaritas. If you enjoy a boozy drink with summer flavors like passionfruit or blueberry, this may be your next go-to cocktail spot.

4. Burrito Loco Cantina & Grill - Dallas, Pennsylvania

You can grab some outstanding alcohol-infused soft-serve at Burrito Loco Cantina & Grill’s two separate locations in Dallas or Dickson City. The colorful margaritas are served with a variety of signature toppings and are almost too beautiful to eat. The restaurant serves up rotating flavors each week, so a happy hour here is never the same twice.
