What are the best waterfall hikes in Oregon?

It is well known that Oregon is one of the best hiking destinations in the United States, and nothing is better than a waterfall hike. If you are having trouble choosing which waterfall hikes to explore in Oregon, we are here to help you out

Trail of Ten Falls

Trail of Ten Falls hike is not an easy one, but it sure is rewarding. Clocking in at 7.40 miles, this loop trail in Silver Falls State Park near Mehama, Oregon, actually brings you to 10 waterfalls! Many people choose to do this loop trail counterclockwise, which starts with a hike along the canyon rim and ends with a spectacular view of South Falls. Your first view of the waterfalls to come will be at the North Falls Viewpoint where you can see North Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in the park that is over 100 feet tall. If you continue on, you’ll hit Twin Falls and Winter Falls, before you continue on to Canyon Trail. Canyon Trail will take you to see Middle North Falls and Drake Falls, Lower North Falls, Double Falls, and Lower South Falls. In the last stretch of this incredible waterfall-filled hike, you will see Multnomah Falls, Punch Bowl Falls, and finally Frenchie Falls to round out this waterfall-filled day.

Multnomah Falls Trail

A much shorter hike than Trail of Ten Falls, Multnomah Falls Trail is a 2.40 mile hike outside of Bridal Veil, Oregon. Multnomah Falls is the most insisted national recreation site in the Pacific Northwest, and it is easy to see why. This picturesque waterfall is simply incredible, and over 2 million people visit each year. Winter and Spring are recommended as the best time to visit because there is typically the most waterflow over the falls at these times, but the falls are simply incredible and are a must-see for any hiking or waterfall enthusiast.
