8 Undeniable Differences Between The Northern And Southern Parts Of Ohio
Here in Ohio, life just isn’t the same across the board. Those of us who live in southern Ohio rarely (if ever) see a White Christmas. And those of us who live in northern Ohio legitimately don’t understand the concept of Skyline Chili. The following are 8 undeniable differences between the northern and southern parts of Ohio.

You can usually tell what part of Ohio someone is from based on the sound of their accent. One thing is for certain though: We can’t seem to agree on the way that "wash" is pronounced. Sometimes there’s a "r." Sometimes there isn’t.
In general, northern Ohio experiences cooler temperatures year-round, due to lake effect from Lake Erie.
Southern Ohio won't see snow until mid-March. Northern Ohio will see snow as early as November and it can last until April.
Starbucks south of Columbus are pretty scarce. (Unless they're hiding in a Kroger.)
Frankly, the concept of chili on top of spaghetti freaks out northern Ohioans. Southern Ohioans, however, are usually quite partial to the dish.
Northern Ohio's NFL team can't win a single game. Southern Ohio's can at least win a few.
Conversely, northern Ohio's MLB team kills it, while southern Ohio's puts forth a decent effort.
(Just kidding. It's the same all across Ohio: inconvenient and never-ending.)
