Locals love this eclectic place that is so much more than a grocery store and even visitors to the city find that it makes a great tourist attraction. Jungle Jim always has something up his sleeve to make this store even more magical and its newest feature may be the best yet. The Oscar Station at Jungle Jim’s is a bourbon bar and event space that officially opens January 11th, but you can check it out now. Ride that famous monorail (yes, it moves!) and discover the most creative space in Cincinnati.
If you haven't ever been to the original Jungle Jim's location in Fairfield, then you at least know that it is a unique destination in the Queen City.
The exterior is eye-catching to say the least, with jungle animals playing and an unusual monorail stretching out in front of this international grocery store. That monorail has been purely for decoration and wonder, but now you can actually ride a monorail at Jungle Jim's.
While the decorative monorail remains in place, there is now a working elevated train that you can ride to reach The Oscar Station, a new bourbon bar and extension of the Oscar Event Center.
Jungle purchased these monorails several years ago from Kings Island and always hoped to make them functional. You now don't have to go all the way to Disney World to enjoy a ride.

That same magic can be found as you take a ride from the store to The Oscar Station, a bar and event space that is housed in that odd building with a snake wrapped around it.
The tables are former bowling lanes and even the unique feature above the bar was once functional in a dry cleaner. It will now serve you some of the finest bourbon you'll find anywhere.
Creativity is evident here and it's also a welcoming space that is now open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The official opening takes place January 11th, so be sure to check the website (linked below) for updated hours and information. When you do visit, expect to find a wide variety of bourbons, cocktails, snacks, appetizers, and that famous Jungle Jim's magic.
It's not a common occurrence to ride a monorail to a bourbon bar, especially in Cincinnati.
