What are some other scenic drives in Ohio?

In addition to the Hocking Hills Scenic Byway, here are some other scenic drives in Ohio:

  • Route 7: Scenic drives abound in the Buckeye State, from the rolling countryside of Amish Country to the resplendent views along the Ohio River Scenic Byway. In terms of superlatives, Route 7 is the longest state highway in Ohio, and if you’ve never driven it in its entirety, you’re missing out! Winding its way north from the Ohio River town of Chesapeake all the way up to Conneaut in Ashtabula County, Route 7 is an immensely scenic drive worth taking.
  • Route 50: U.S. Route 50 is a 3,200-mile road that spans 11 states and showcases some of America’s most beautiful scenery — especially in Ohio. This route winds its way through the entire southern portion of Ohio, showing off some of the Buckeye State’s best rural scenery and most charming small towns. The roughly 200-mile stretch of Route 50 through Ohio is a beautiful drive everyone ought to experience.
  • Amish Country Scenic Byway: It just doesn't get any more scenic than Ohio Amish Country, and the eponymous byway truly is *the* scenic drive to take in the Buckeye State! Cutting through some of the state’s most beautiful landscapes and showcasing charming small towns, this route is one you’ll want to travel time and time again. The entire route measures 160 miles and will take you through lovely communities steeped in both Amish and German culture. Be sure to take your time and allow for plenty of stops along the way. This, like Ohio's other scenic drives, is one excursion you won't want to rush!
