Lloyd's of Lowville is a classic diner. It's an actual train car that was converted into a restaurant by its first owner, Lloyd Rasmussen. He built it to serve local factory workers back in 1939, and today, it's still extremely popular at its location at the crossroads of Routes 12 and 26.

Current owner Blair Sandri bought it in 1985. She kept the original wood furnishings. You can choose a seat at the counter if you'd like.

Or, you can slide on into one of the booths. No matter where you sit, you can expect attentive, friendly service. Some of the waitstaff have worked here for decades.

The food here is great and it's all made in-house. These cinnamon rolls look pretty inviting, don't you think?

Like any at diner, the breakfasts at Lloyd's are big and tasty.

One of the best things about Lloyd's of Lowville is the homemade pie. There are usually several to choose from, and they're all great. This apple pie looks scrumptious! Also, the homemade apple cake is a big hit - be sure to try it with some whipped cream on top!

This diner is a local icon. It's frequented by local regulars, but even as a new, out-of-town visitor, you'll be welcomed with open arms.
