This Cheese Themed Restaurant In New York Is What Dreams Are Made Of
Everyone has their own taste when it comes to food, but one dairy product that we all seem to have a sweet spot for is cheese. Sliced on a plate or melted in a bowl, no matter how cheese is served to us, we just can’t help but devour it all. The perfect place to go and warm up in while the weather begins to get colder, this one cozy restaurant down in the Catskills is every cheese lover’s paradise.

No, it's not an illusion, there are actually pictures of cheese painted on the outside of this cheese-themed restaurant! To those who have yet to visit the small town of Tannersville, it's earned the nickname in New York as being our Painted Village in the Sky. The town has a Paint Program put together by locals that have given the majority of the buildings and businesses lining Main Street a completely funky makeover. Buildings that were once generic looking now have been given a more specific personality using eye-catching colors and quirky details that highlight what's inside. The store first opened on Main Street primarily as an antique shop back in 1971, but it wouldn't be until 1977 that things would all fall into place. That year the building suffered a fire, allowing the owner to have a fresh start and transform the building into half a gourmet shop and half of a restaurant!

Carrying tons of local products and goods, this classic store generally has more than a hundred different kinds of cheeses available for you to sort through. The store also carries other popular goods like coffees and teas and even has a variety of old-fashioned candies and fudge that will further induce your hunger while you're here.

Lining the walls of the store you'll find refrigerators stocked with an enormous variety of bottled beers, many of which are local delights!

Pictured above you can see one of the most popular items on Last Chance's menu, their French Onion Soup that's topped with beautifully melted Swiss cheese.
