When people think of New Jersey beaches, all too often Seaside Heights comes to mind. This is thanks in part to the popularity of the infamous MTV “reality” show Jersey Shore, which was filmed in the city. While Seaside Heights is charming in its own right, New Jersey has over 100 miles of coastline and dozens of beautiful beaches. Following are 7 scenic seashores in the state to suit every taste. Cape May has so much to offer, from gorgeous beaches to historic homes and inns. One of America's first resort towns, the entire city has been declared a National Historic Landmark.
A paradise for nature lovers, this undeveloped beach is a haven for the Red Fox. It is also one of the few well preserved barrier islands in the United States.
Long Beach Island, better known as LBI, is known for its beautiful bay and ocean beaches.
As you can see, Jersey offers so much more than just beach side bars. Atlantic City is a top US tourist destination, Cape May set the standard for beach resorts back in the 1800’s and you can’t beat the sunsets in LBI. With countless entertainment options and breathtaking views along the shore, how could you ask for anything more? Life is truly a beach in this Summertime paradise.
