The Secret Garden Hike In New Jersey Will Make You Feel Like You’re In A Fairytale

New Jersey is home to dozens of gorgeous gardens. Some are quite popular, including the New Jersey State Botanical Garden At Skylands, Deep Cut Gardens, Presby Memorial Iris Gardens, Greenwood Gardens, and the Leonard J. Buck Garden. I’ve covered each of these incredible spots over the years but I recently came across a hidden gem that I just had to share.

We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we’re continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/

Not only can you visit, you can become a citizen scientist! Help observe birds, plants, frogs, and more. To learn more about the volunteer program, and all the arboretum has to offer, you can check out their website by clicking here. Visit the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum at 324 Forest Drive South, Short Hills. Their hours are Mon-Fri 9am-4:30pm, Saturday 9am-4pm, and Sunday 10am-4pm.
