There’s A Little Slice Of Heaven Right Here In New Jersey And You’ll Want To Visit
Summer is (unofficially) here and that means a few things. First of all, it means outdoor fun. Many of us will hit the shore but that’s not all New Jersey has to offer on a sunny day. We have some fantastic hiking trails including one that will take you high into the sky, a sliver of heaven on earth.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
The hike from Pochuck Valley to Pinwheel Vista will take you straight to heaven.
Including the 110-foot Pochuck Quagmire Suspension Bridge over Pochuck Creek. Completed in 1995, it made the Appalachian Trail much more accessible to locals.

While you can just hike the accessible boardwalk trail if you choose, I’d make it up to Pinwheel Vista if you’re able. You’ll see for miles; it’s truly magical. The primary issue is parking; be sure to respect local ordinances. For a step by step guide to this hike, check out NJHiking.com.
