Visit The Christmas Ice Caverns, A Unique Christmas Cave In New Jersey This Season

The ice caverns have been a holiday tradition since 1967 - perhaps they'll become a new family tradition for you!

The caverns display dozens of holiday scenes featuring Christmas and cartoon characters (Santa, Elves, Micky Mouse + more).

Each display is crafted with care and overflowing with Christmas magic.

Kids absolutely love each scene, but so do adults! (Or, at least, I do!)

Displays are overflowing with decorations including animatronics, toys, dolls, ornaments, glitter, lights, trees, candy canes, ribbon and more. Take time to really explore the stunning scenes before you.

Each display is different and many offer a bit of nostalgia. There's no need to have the most modern technology when you've got cheer and charm.

In addition to the displays focused on American Christmas traditions, there's a diorama highlighting holiday traditions around the world, set to some very catchy music.

There's even a traditional nativity scene with the three wise men and Mary, Jesus and Joseph in a manger.

In addition to simply browsing, take part in a scavenger hunt! Last season, guests could look out for this sign - it meant that Chillz the Polar Bear was hidden somewhere in the scene.

Chillz could be tricky to find but if the sticker said he's there - he was. Searching for him was fun for families! Here he is, tucked away in tree branches.

This year, families can look out for Peppermint the Penguin!
