Fuller Gardens In New Hampshire Will Completely Transform When The Flowers Bloom This Spring
With winter thawing and spring here, we’ve been thinking a lot about all the ways we plan on enjoying the outdoors when the warm weather really arrives. Of course, there are all the trails we know and love, as well as lots of lakes and rivers. But we’re also ready for some color and that’s why we’re dreaming of the flowers that will soon be here!
Fuller Gardens in North Hampton is one of the very last working formal estate gardens of the 20th century.
The gardens have been around since 1927 when businessman and Massachusetts politician, Alvan T. Fuller commissioned landscape architect, Arthur A. Shurtleff, to design the first garden behind his summer home.
The gardens continued to expand over the decades. The Fuller couple didn't go into the gardens much, but loved looking at them from the windows in the house. And they especially loved seeing them being enjoyed by the public who was welcome to visit.
This is definitely one of the areas in the state that we look forward to re-opening all year long. And this year enjoying it will be extra-special!
Fuller Gardens is typically open from mid-May through October every day of the week. Their hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $9 for adults, $8 for seniors, $6 for students and $4 for kids under 12. You can learn more about them on their website or follow them on Facebook.
