Named The Best Campground In New Hampshire, Lafayette Place Needs To Be On Your Spring Bucket List
Each year we endure cold and snowy winters with the promise of a gorgeous spring. It might feel like a long time before we get there, but it will be here before you know it and it’s best to be ready. When we say “ready,” we mean prepared with fun activities and spots to visit to make sure every moment is enjoyed. Camping is always high on our list and the spot we’re featuring today has been voted the best in the state!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here: onlyinyourstate.com/nominate
Lafayette Place Campground in Franconia Notch State Park has been voted one of the best in the state, and you'll want to be ready for the season in May!
The park is a fantastic base to explore one of the best parks in the state. Known for its access to fishing, boating, swimming, and hiking, this beauty is worth exploring for a few days.
And, while the campground is staffed and ready for visitors officially in the summer, it's lovely in a whole different way throughout the year. While you won't find facilities open, the fall foliage is worth the trip.
Lafayette Place Campground in Franconia Notch State Park opens for the season with staff and facilities on Thursday, May 20th, 2021. Michelle has lived in many places, but counts Maine as one of the best. In addition to the smell of ocean water in the air on rainy days in Portland, she loves puppies, photography, funny people, the Maine Red Claws, traveling, fresh tomatoes, Cambodia and filling out forms.
