What are some of the best places to stay in Nevada?

Nevada is a wonderful state to explore – it's so much more than just the Las Vegas strip. That being said, some of Nevada’s most popular hotels are in Vegas, and if you enjoy the glitz and glamour of the strip, you’re more than welcome to stay at one of those (the rates do tend to be very reasonable). Of course, there are plenty more places to stay in Nevada that aren’t on the strip or in Vegas at all; for example, in Ely, there’s the Hotel Nevada. It’s an old building and coming here will grant you a glimpse into the old gaming halls that would eventually become casinos of the Prohibition Era. It’s modern but classic at the same time, and very much worth a visit. Those who enjoy history will also enjoy a stay at the infamous Silver Queen Hotel, in Virginia City, which is more than 130 years old and is said to be among the most haunted places in the entire state. If you’re a fan of the creepy, you’ll also want to maybe think about staying at The Clown Motel in Tonopah. What? It’s just a suggestion.

Where are some romantic getaway spots in Nevada?

Nevada isn't known as the most romantic place in the world (though a lot of people DO come here JUST to get married); that being said, it absolutely does have some awe-inspiring getaways for you and your special person. Enjoy an amazing hot air balloon ride over the deserts, and then finish the evening with dinner at any of our highly-rated restaurants, like Andiamo Steakhouse. In Reno, there’s the Riverwalk, which is perfect for a low-key date night. Nevada’s state parks are stunning and definitely romantic under the right conditions – Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, for example, is lush and beautiful and perfect for getting away. Or, you could maybe take any one of these beautiful backroad drives – there are few things as romantic as a couples’ road trip.
