Is there anything better than Wisconsin in summer? All due respect to the Brewers, but if baseball is our national pastime, I think that tubing should be our state one. Really, it isn't summer in the Badger State unless you've gone tubing, right? Especially here, where we have so many awesome spots for tubing in Wisconsin. We've got spots for hitching a tube to the boat or just floating down the river. Whatever your style of tubing, these are the places for it.
1. Wolf River
The Wolf River has some cool, clear waters. The river drops about 430 feet over 28 miles. It's one of our favorite Wisconsin natural lazy rivers.

2. Apple River
This is a 77-mile tributary of the scenic St. Croix River (on the Minnesota border). It's one of the most popular lazy rivers in Wisconsin for tubing. There are loads of places where you can put in and just float.

3. Wisconsin River
Eagles and other birds fly overhead as you float down the river. The current will move you at a leisurely 3 miles an hour, making it one of the best floats in Wisconsin.

4. Namekagon River
Lowish water levels make this a place you can get out at spots and play in the water. A leisurely trip will take about three to four hours.

5. Black River
This winding river is not heavily populated, so you will be away from a lot of the crowds. Take in the gorgeous scenery that surrounds you. Tubing here is one of the most relaxing things to do in Wisconsin.

6. Chain O' Lakes
This area of interconnected lakes has some of the clearest water in the state. Of the 22 lakes, 17 allow you to take out speedboats. Try Rainbow Lake, Round Lake, Long Lake, or Columbia Lake.

7. Lake Delton
While in the Dells, there's no better way to see the scenery than to go tubing. You'll float by amazing sandstone formations.

8. Lake Winnebago
This is the largest lake entirely within Wisconsin borders. There are 20 public boat landings to get out on the lake. Since it's so big, it's incredible to get out on the water and feel like the water goes on forever.

This is a great lake to get out on because of the wonderful buildings and architecture surrounding it. While not the largest lake, there is plenty of room to reach fast speeds and scream as you hold onto your tube.
