Wisconsin Dells is the ultimate summer trip in Wisconsin. But did you know that there is so much more to do than just get soaked? Here are the 10 things you need to do for the most epic Dells trip EVER.
1. Noah's Ark
This water park is the granddaddy of them all. After all, it is the largest water park in America. There are loads of water slides of increasing scariness and height. You can learn to surf. There is a lazy river. And there are plenty of gentle rides for the kiddos.
2. Deer Park
Deer are pretty commonplace in Wisconsin, but most of them won't come close enough for you to touch them. At the Deer Park, you are surrounded by deer. It is a truly incredible sight.
3. Tommy Bartlett Show
This water-ski team shows its tricks on Lake Delton. Shows are 90 minutes long, and are a nice blend of stunts in the air and water, comedy, and awesome boat maneuvering.
4. Wizard Quest
Yes, you are nerdy enough to do this. This place is like Harry Potter come to life. It's a giant scavenger hunt that is great for kids and adults alike.
5. Ducks Tour
Everyone has to go on the Ducks Tour. These are amphibious vehicles used during WWII. Go through town and then see the Dells the way they were meant to be seen - by boat.
6. Mt. Olympus
There are plenty of thrills that don't involve getting wet. Mt. Olympus is also a theme park. Don't worry - it still has plenty of wet attractions. You can even spend the night in a tree house here.
7. Top Secret
Even if you don't go into this attraction, it's worth a picture. Yes, that is the White House but upside down. The attraction tells you the story of why this structure is upside down. Only in Wisconsin, folks!
8. The Dells
Although you want to see the Dells by boat if at all possible, you definitely want to see them on foot, too. These incredible sandstone formations sit along the beautiful Wisconsin River.
9. International Crane Foundation
This is the world headquarters for these gorgeous creatures. There are 15 species of cranes here. They come right up to you, so see these birds like never before!
10. Mirror Lake State Park
This is one of the most gorgeous state parks in Wisconsin. Most of the time, the lake is so calm that it doesn't even have ripples, giving it a mirror-like appearance. There are wetlands to explore here as well as an awesome beach.
