White Rock Falls is a relatively little-known destination and it's surrounded by natural beauty. Located near Montebello, Virginia, White Falls Loop is a 4.7-mile trail that features a magnificent landmark.
The trail is considered to be moderately challenging, with some rocky patches to navigate. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes!
Hikers have also reported that cell phone service isn't great in this area. Be sure to download any maps you'll need beforehand and better yet, bring a hiking buddy with you!
Continuing along the loop, you'll even notice some beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Before long, you'll have reached this trail's main attraction: White Rocks Falls.
White Rocks Falls may not be the tallest or grandest waterfall in Virginia, but it's mesmerizing nonetheless.
The name White Rocks is derived from the abundance of sparkling quartz you'll find surrounding the waterfall.
If you plan to hike during the summer months, there's a wading pool at the base of the waterfall and it's the perfect place to cool down.
