Need To Know: The trail is located within the Bottom Creek Gorge Preserve and requires nearly 5 miles of hiking with 900 feet in elevation change. Bent Mountain Falls is the second-tallest waterfall in Virginia, measuring about 200 feet. Interestingly, those who have completed this trail note that the waterfall actually seems much taller, possibly over 350 feet! The waterfall is created as a result of Camp Creek falling directly into Bottom Creek. The result is simply awe-inspiring.

Need To Know: As of April 2024, the middle section of this trail is inaccessible to hikers because it's recently been washed out. It's currently not possible to see the upper falls. This would be a good hike to keep in mind for a future date! Follow a stream peppered with unique rock formations to a cascading waterfall when you hike Little Stony Falls Trail. There are actually a handful of waterfalls visible from this trail, each majestic in its own way.

5. Dark Hollow Falls

Need To Know: Dark Hollow Falls is located in Shenandoah National Park. You'll want to park at milepost 50.7 along Skyline Drive. A short but steep hiking trail (1.4 miles round trip) leads you down to Dark Hollow Falls. You'll want to exercise caution on this trail, especially after a heavy rainfall.
