The Farmers Almanac Predicts Winter 2020 In Texas Will Have Chilly Temps And Average Precipitation

Fall hasn’t even arrived yet, but it’ll be winter before we know it. Is Texas in for a wallopping, or are more mild conditions on the horizon? Predictions are in, and you’ll like what they have to say.

Old Farmers Almanac recently came out with its predictions for the upcoming winter, you'll be more than pleased to read them. Here in Texas, the season is expected to be even more pleasant than usual.

Farmers Almanac, published 26 years after the original, seems to have reached a similar conclusion. Chilly temperatures are the only major difference, however, both publications agree conditions will be mild.

As far as the cold goes, it shouldn't be anything we aren't used to. Beyond layering our clothes and keeping the fireplace lit, drastic measures likely won't be necessary.

Below-normal snowfall is expected for much of the season. Small flurries have not been ruled out for early December, early to mid-January, and mid-February. However, chances are slim outside those timeframes.

Drier weather in terms of liquid precipitation is also forecast. This will serve as pleasant news for most Texans, as we value our time outdoors in a way few others fully understand.

January will bring with it an increase in both temperature and rainfall. The moisture should saturate the ground for when spring rolls around.

Everyone knows April showers bring May flowers, so hopefully January precipitation will allow an entire garden to flourish! We'll be impatiently awaiting wildflower season, that much is certain.
