There’s Nothing Better Than Texas’ Natural Lazy River On A Summer’s Day
Only we Texans can make an entire day out of floating down a river in an inner tube. I mean, what else are we supposed to do when the temperature is pushing 100 degrees? Spend any amount of time NOT in the water? Don't think so. That's why about this time every year, the Hill Country rivers start getting bumper-to-bumper (or tube-to-tube, I should say) with tourists and locals alike looking to beat the heat. The Comal is definitely the most popular, and, in my opinion, the best float of them all.
Nothing says summer quite like a leisurely float down the Comal.
It's every Texan's favorite way to kick our feet up, crack open a cold one, and beat the scorching heat in the company of friends and family.
There's even a tube chute to spice up a relatively monotonous float a bit. (Don't worry, it's super short and not intense at all.)
Landa Falls is easily the best place to rent tubes from. It's the longest float on the Comal, so you'll get the most bang for your buck!
Tubing is the one summer activity we Texans simply cannot live without, and there's no better river than the Comal to do it.
Do you plan on floating the Comal this summer? What about any other rivers in Texas?
