The Tennessee Waterfall That’s One of the Most Beautiful In the World
Cane Creek Falls is located in Fall Creek Falls State Park, a hidden gem amongst the overwhelming beauty of Tennessee's countless other cataracts. We're a bit partial to this tinier waterfall, what with its beautiful location within the park and crowds that are less pushy to get to it. We decided to learn about it a bit more, to give this sweet place its moment in the sun. We find it to be one of the most beautiful in the world - do you agree?
Cane Creek Falls is located in Fall Creek Falls State Park, located about two hours East of Nashville on the Cumberland Plateau.
The falls are about 85-feet tall and is the most voluminous of all the falls in Fall Creek Falls State Park.
While you can see the falls from the visitor center's parking area, you can get a much better view of the falls by hiking to the suspension bridge above the smaller Cane Creek Cascades or by taking the steep Cable Trail to the base of the falls.
One of the things that makes this waterfall particularly stunning is the lack of crowds that are often drawn to the other falls in the park. The strenuous Cable Trail is challenging, but the reward is a serene waterfall scene in the secluded and tranquil hills of Tennessee.
The falls share a pool at their base with the taller but skinnier Rockhouse Falls. We recommend hiking down to the base of the falls just to get good views of both of them!
