Let's go on a hike today, yinzers! Pittsburgh and beyond boast so many picture-perfect trails that it's often challenging to decide which one to set off on next. If you're in the mood for a bit of peace and quiet paired with spectacular natural scenery, you just might want to embark on the Glacier Ridge Trail near Pittsburgh that leads to the shimmering, blue Lake Arthur.

Bookmark an entire day for your trek along the Glacier Ridge Trail, tucked in Moraine State Park, a challenging hike that spans nearly 15 miles.

If you're up for the vigorous hike, you'll be well-rewarded with spectacular views of the shimmering blue Lake Arthur.

That, however, is just the tip of the iceberg. Wear sturdy hiking boots or shoes, for you'll be crossing over footbridges overlooking gushing streams and...

...trekking through lush forested areas. In those forested areas, you'll come across an abundance of roots that you'll need to carefully navigate over.

The well-maintained trail is predominately shady, perfect on hot days, but it can get pretty muddy.
