This Full Moon Hike Near Pittsburgh Will Take You On An Unforgettable Adventure

How's your summer calendar shaping up? Completely booked? Still have plenty of room to fit fun activities? Or, are you trying to squeeze in as much as you can into whatever space remains? No matter how full your summer is, you'll definitely want to carve out a few hours to set off on this enchanting full moon hike near Pittsburgh.

Spend your day swimming, picnicking, and exploring at Keystone State Park. Or, just head over in time for the Full Moon Hike, set for Thursday, August 15, 2019.

The public hike will set off at 7:30 p.m. with the evening expected to end around 9:30 p.m.

Lace up your hiking boots or slip on your comfiest shoes for your evening hike, which will take off from the James Kell Center's parking lot.

Join other Pittsburghers as you stroll around the 78-acre Keystone Lake, discussing the phases of the moon while...

Admiring the full moon above. You might even hear the hoot or the chirp of an owl from a nearby tree.

And, together, you'll discuss the night creatures that you just might run into during your hike. Deer, turtles, rabbits, turkey, and ruffed grouses are among those that reside in the state park.

Arrive at Keystone State Park at least five to 10 minutes before the hike as it will beginning promptly at 7:30 p.m.
