Hike To The Top Of Oregon’s Islands In The Sky For An Unforgettable Outdoor Adventure

,"11":3,"12":0}">Hiking season is right around the corner in the Beaver State, and there are plenty of amazing hiking trails to that belong on your bucket list. Some of the best are the hikes to Upper and Lower Table Rock in Southern Oregon. Known as Oregon's "Islands in the Sky," the hike to the top of these landscape features will lead you on an unforgettable journey.

Located in Jackson County, Upper and Lower Table Rock were formed nearly seven million years ago, when a nearby volcano erupted and filled the ancient Rogue River Valley with lava.

Over the millennia, ancient rivers eroded the landscape and left these two plateaus behind.

The trails will take you through the woods, past several creeks, and a diverse array of flora and fauna.

The hike to Lower Table Rock is 4.8 miles in total, while the trail to Upper Table Rock measures 7.2 miles.

Beginner hikers can choose to hike just part of either of these trails to make the distance more manageable.

No matter how far you make it on these spectacular trails, you are in for amazing views.

Once you reach the top, the panoramic view of the Rogue Valley is simply awe-inspiring. You don't get to see sights like this every day!
