The Saddle Mountain Hike is a one of a kind excursion that'll lead you to the top of a stunning mountain in Oregon's coastal range.

To get there, take a 5.2-mile (round trip) hike from the Saddle Mountain Trailhead, located off highway 26.

This out-and-back trail winds upwards through a beautiful forest before emerging onto steep green hillsides.

In spring and early summer, the hills are blanketed in colorful wildflowers.

When you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views like this:

On a clear day, you can see all the way from the ocean to Mt Hood.

The trail is rated as moderate due to the steep elevation gain and (sometimes) loose footing. You'll feel the burn in your thighs, but the views and fresh air are oh so rewarding. Luckily, there are many scenic places to stop and rest along the trail.

The hike is best experienced in the warmer months, from April into November.

If you want to extend your trip, you'll have the option to stay the night at one of the walk-in campsites located near the trailhead.

This amazing Oregon hike will blow you away.
