If you're looking for an unforgettable trail to hike in Oregon, then you'll love the Crooked River Trail in Smith Rock State Park. This hike is an out-and-back hike that's 4.5 miles in length, but because it follows the Crooked River, you won't experience a whole lot of elevation gain and the trail is rated easy. You will, however, experience incredible, mind-blowing vistas along the way. Read on to learn more about it.
Smith Rock State Park is breathtaking! This is one of the most beautiful places in Oregon. Because it's so popular with rock climbers, some people may feel that it's a park that's not accessible to non-climbers.
That's not true! There are a number of hiking trails in this park that are easy. Everyone can enjoy this park. One of the easiest trails in this park is the Crooked River Trail.
The Crooked River Trail travels right along the Crooked River so you won't have to worry about too much elevation gain. In its entire length, there is only 321 feet of elevation gain in total.
This out-and-back trail is 4.5 miles long. Along the way, you will be able to enjoy the beauty of the river.
You'll also be able to take incredible pictures of the rock formations like this one.
On a sunny day, this trail is simply spectacular.
